River City Tour

On Saturday and Sunday I competed in the Speed Skating River City Tour.  I came third in my age group and also qualified for nationals on the indoor and outdoor track. The National Speed Skating competition starts on the first of January and goes for eight days. This time it will be held in Wanganui and Palmerston North.
I have been skating for 18 months and can train up to five times a week. On Saturday mornings I skate 20 kilometres and on Tuesday nights I can keep up with the big pack  100 laps of Jubilee stadium.
